SPRING TERM

This term, we have two new topics for geography and history:

Geography: Life in Kenya

How is life in Kenya similar and different to living in the UK?

During our first half term we will be studying Kenya. We will focus on Kenya's location, climate and key physical and human features. We will also be exploring life for children living in different parts of Kenya and comparing Kenya with different parts of the UK.

How did these significant people make a difference?

After half term we will be studying some human rights heroes including Marcus Rashford, Nelson Mandela, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King and Malala Yousafzai. We will learn about key events in each activist's life and consider which human rights they were fighting for.
